The people are smart and motivated; there is ton of both formal and on-the-job learning; and one gets exposure to many different industries (e.g., banking, pharmaceuticals) and functions (e.g., strategy, marketing). There are also opportunities for international travel.

The hours can get long with poor work life balance, and the work isn't always high impact. The act of advising and not implementing may also be frustrating for some.
